Sustainability

LGSA is working with the Office of Environment and Heritage and the NSW Environmental Trust to assist councils throughout the state who have received funding under the Waste and Sustainability Improvement Program (WaSIP) and/or Urban Sustainability Program (USP) to undertake waste and sustainability projects and programs.

The new program recognises the work of the "Urban Sustainability Support Alliance" (USSA) undertaken between 2007-2011, and aims to continue to add value to many and varied WaSIP and USP funded projects throughout the state.
