The Local Government Association of NSW and the Shires Association of NSW are the peak industry bodies for Local Government in NSW.

They have about 60 joint staff who implement Executive and Conference decisions and provide research support for the policy positions and standing committees of both Associations. More about the Associations...

Notice of application to alter the Shires Association's Rules:
On 2 July 2010, the Shires Association of New South Wales lodged an application with Fair Work Australia to alter the Association's Rules to give effect to the unanimous decision of the Association's Annual Conference on 1 June 2010.
